Working with The Media Company – One of The UK's Leading Elite Football Production Partners
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne & North East England (Premier League stadiums and training grounds).
Ready to kick-start your career at the absolute top of the sports media industry? TMC is recognised as the UK's premier production crew company in elite football media, working directly with the Premier League and clubs on matchdays, press conferences, and exclusive interviews. We're looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and technically-minded individuals to join our casual North East crew.
This is a unique chance to gain hands-on, paid experience in professional media environments that are typically inaccessible to those starting out.
The Role and Experience Gained
This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role where you'll be integrated into our core production team on an event-by-event basis. You'll move beyond generic runner duties to focus on valuable technical skills:
Data Wrangling & Media Management: Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the seamless and secure transfer of high-value 4K/HD footage from multiple cameras during and immediately after matches and during press conferences and interviews. You'll master industry-standard data logging and archival workflows.
Press Conference & Interview Support: Work directly with talent and clients, assisting with microphone placement, setting up small interview lighting kits, and managing camera media during formal press events.
Basic Camera Operation: Assist our lead operators with camera prep, lens swaps, and operate a third/lock-off camera position during training ground features or on-field match coverage (under strict supervision).
Rapid-Turnaround Editing Prep: Assist editors by pre-logging key moments and syncing multi-camera footage for post-production, essential experience for fast-paced content delivery.
Who We're Looking For
Passion for Premier League Football: A deep interest in the sport is essential to understand the context and urgency of the content we create.
Technical Aptitude: Experience with basic camera functions, strong attention to detail regarding data files, and reliable computer literacy (Adobe suite experience is a plus).
Professionalism & Reliability: This role demands absolute discretion, punctuality, and the ability to work long, unsocial hours typical of elite football schedules (evenings and weekends).
Local to the North East: Based in or around Newcastle upon Tyne, with flexibility for matchdays across the region.
A "can-do" attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Why TMC?
Joining us means more than just a job; it’s an accelerated training ground. You won't be making coffees; you'll be actively assisting in the capture and management of content used by one of the biggest leagues in the world. This experience provides an unparalleled CV entry and invaluable networking opportunities with industry experts.
We offer a competitive rate of £15.50 per hour, paid for all hours worked. No capped hours and the flexibility to work when you want.
